    Microbiological Growth Overview

    In this session, we will discuss mold growth and remediation. We will discuss the key principles are moisture control, containment of spores, protection of health, thorough cleaning and drying, and post-remediation verification to prevent mold recurrence.

    The HOTMA session will provide an overview of HUD and Agency policies regarding HOTMA and its applicability to properties with LIHTC, HOME and Housing Trust Funds (HTF).

    Promoting Safety and Housing Stability for Survivors of Domestic Violence

    Speakers: Alexandra Cantrell, Housing Advocacy & Policy Manager, and Tara Ulrich, Housing Advocacy Specialist, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence
    Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women and families. Understanding the dynamics of DV will help service providers and other system partners respond and support survivors. Tools will be shared to safety plan and collaborate with local domestic violence service providers to further promote survivor safety. The federal housing protections that exist for survivors will be highlighted along with some important new information regarding how HUD continues to prioritize survivor safety within federally subsidized housing programs.

    Compliance 101: Journey through Agency Requirements

     Join PHFA staff to navigate through the Agency requirements for tax credit properties with agency financing. Topics will include rent-up procedures for new properties, timelines for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, occupancy reporting, required forms for tenant files, rent summaries, and the web entry system.

    Preventive Maintenance for Roofs That You Can Do On Your Own; A Frank Discussion
